John Desmond

John has been enjoying the DLPOA beach since 1968 when his parents first became members of the Association.  He and his wife Morgan have owned their Donner Lake home since 1999 and are avid outdoor enthusiasts.  John has two children and works as a commercial litigation attorney in Reno.  He has served on several non-profit boards throughout the years, including terms as president of different organizations.  He has served on the DLPOA Board since 2022, first as vice-president and then as president of the organization since 2024.

Role:

The DLPOA President shall preside at all meetings of the members and the Board, appoint the members of Advisory Committees, supervise the Operations Manager, and coordinate and expedite the functions of the Association as required by the business of the Association.
