THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD AT THE BEACH

The following rules have been established by the Board of Directors. DLPOA employees, as well as board members, are authorized to enforce these rules, including requesting individuals to leave the beach. Boaters must obey all California boating laws.  These rules are intended to ensure everyone using the beach is able to enjoy all the amenities in a safe manner.

1)   If you lend your beach ID card to anyone it will be confiscated at the kiosk and the matter will be turned over to the board.
2)  During the first 15 minutes of the beach opening, members must check in at the kiosk before setting up their spot for the day.
3)  Setting up beach area spots before 8 am is prohibited. When discovered, beach items will be placed in lost and found.
4)  If your beach set up is not occupied by noon,  your items will be picked up by staff and placed in the lost and found area.  No exceptions.
5)  Members must physically and daily present their list of unaccompanied guests to staff at the kiosk.  members cannot phone, text, or email, etc. A guest list.
6)  Please try to restrict your group to no more than ten guests. Contact beach manager at least one day in advance if you intend to have greater than ten guests.
7)  The beach may not be used for non-member gatherings such as social or professional club gatherings or meetings, or for commercial or other fundraising purposes.
8)  Smoking, including e- cigarettes / vaping is prohibited on entire property including moored watercraft.
9)  Glass of any type is not allowed on entire property including moored watercraft.  No bottles, no containers, etc.
10) Dogs, cats and other pets are prohibited on entire property including moored watercraft. Truckee police will be called if pets are left in vehicles.
11) Radios, Bluetooth speakers, etc. Must be kept at a low volume including those on moored watercraft.
12)  Bicycles, motorized bicycles and scooters, etc. Are not permitted beyond the bike racks at entry, where they can be parked at the owner’s risk.
13) Recreation equipment, such as ping-pong paddles, horseshoes and volley balls, is available from beach staff at no cost but you must leave your DLPOA membership card or guest card as collateral until you return the equipment.
14) Dumpsters are for daily beach use only, not imported household trash.
15) Fires are not permitted on entire property unless approved.
16) Bar-b-ques are on a first come first served basis. Private propane cookers are allowed but subject to location.
17) Motorized or trailered watercraft are prohibited on entire property unless they have the current town of Truckee boat inspection sticker on vessel.
18) All watercraft, powered or not, require a valid DLPOA sticker to tie up or beach.  Staff will assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance. 
19) Fueling of motor craft of any type is limited to “on land” fueling within the boat on trailer storage area only.
20) Moored watercraft may not tie up to tire breakwater, buoys or swim lines.
21) No watercraft or trailer may be stored overnight on entire property without storage stickers and those units must be in the wet cove or designated dry land areas.
22) Boats and trailers left on DLPOA property after the beach closes for the season, will incur daily fines and be towed away at the owner’s expense. (rule 2000-02)
23) All beach vendors must be approved by the Social Committee of the BOD.  Suggestions for beach vendors should be submitted to the BOD for approval. Send all details on the vendor and what you suggest to:  socialevents@dlpoa.org  .  The Social Committee will vote to approve or decline via email to speed the process.
24) Members may be subject to disciplinary action, including fines or denial of beach access for their entire group if beach rules are violated.
