Hi, we hope you all had a great winter.  Summer is coming to Donner Lake and it’s time to get ready to enjoy all the fun activities at our wonderful beach!!

First up is our annual Sand Sculpture Contest.  Mark your calendars to attend.

SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2026.  Sign-in at the beach (by flagpole) at 8:30 am.  The contest begins at 9:00 am and normally lasts until about 11:00 am when we announce the winners and give out fun prizes.   Winners receive gift cards from the Little Truckee Ice Creamery and every participant gets to choose a little prize from the prize table.

Team sign-up sheets will be available at the Kiosk by June 1.

It’s not too early to start planning for this super fun event.  Get your teams together.  As you clean up your property this spring think about saving some natural materials to build your sculptures (tree twigs, pinecones, small rocks).  The beach staff does such a good job cleaning the beach that we sometimes have trouble finding things to use on our sculptures. 
Bring your bucket and sand toys from home.
